Working from a bad photo and having never met the woman, this turned out naff. Had just met my parents in law for first time and felt like insulting the womans memory a bit by turning this bad rendition out.
An early work in oil. Came out bang on. The stacked corn is meant to represent his hard toiled life behind him. He still went out to the fields with his giant hoe at the age of 85, mind you...........giant hoe.
